The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on www.churchprints.org.
The placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions, and your agreement to subsequently support any such stated charity in partnership with ChurchPrints.org receiving financial support or brand awareness benefits as a result of your purchase. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and print a copy for future reference.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and we retain the right to to withhold the sale of our material at our discretion. Please note this is not a trade website.
The ChurchPrints.org domain, website, logo and brand identity is owned and operated by Daniel Patterson, an individual sole-trader registered with the HMRC in the UK, whose office is at 4 Ystrad Close, Carmarthen, SA31 3PE. ChurchPrints.org is a tradename of Daniel Patterson, payment for goods or services from ChurchPrints.org may therefore be in the name of Daniel Patterson. 2. Charity beneficiaries
ChurchPrints.org will donate 10% of all prints sold on its website to a partnership charity who exists to support churches and people working to extend the kingdom of God primarily overseas. The partnership charity will be stated at the bottom of the product pages on this website where a link to the partnership charity will be provided. By ordering products on this website you are agreeing to support the chosen charity of ChurchPrints.org and their mission. ChurchPrints.org will not be liable for any actions undertaken by the charity as a result of its support.
3. No Waiver
Our failure to insist upon strict performance of any provision of these Terms and Conditions, shall not be deemed to be a waiver of our rights or remedies in respect of any present or future default of the Customer in performance or compliance with any of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Prices & Payment
Prices may be subject to change at any time. Payment must be be made at the time of ordering by debit or credit card for all online orders. We can supply an invoice to existing customers (at our discretion) with 14 day credit terms for orders over £100.00. Payment must be made by cheque (sterling only) made payable to Daniel Patterson or by credit or debit card or bank transfer. We must receive full payment for the goods or services that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provided. Our acceptance of your order creates a legally binding contract between us.
Prices on www.churchprints.org are based on the current costs of production and delivery and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, are subject to amendment on or at any time after acceptance, where such amendment is required in order to meet any rise or fall in such costs.
At the time of writing these Terms and Conditions, ChurchPrints.org (a trading name of Daniel Patterson) is not VAT registered. Therefore VAT will not added onto the cost of the printing. At any point, and without notice, we reserve the right to apply for VAT registration afterwhich you, the customer, will be charged value added tax whether or not it was included on the estimate or invoice.
5. Preliminary work
All work carried out, whether experimentally or otherwise, at customer’s request shall be chargeable.
Where any additional work of whatever nature is necessary as a result of copy supplied by a customer not being clear and/or legible, ChurchPrints.org shall be entitled to make additional charges on a time and materials basis to cover such additional works.
7. Image downloads
High-resolution digital images will be automatically supplied to the customer for customised design(s) for the purchased artwork. By receiving and downloading these images you accept our terms and conditions as follows:
The image may be used for viewing purposes and internal printing only – i.e. for presentation purposes (e.g. a PowerPoint presentation), on social media or on your church website for a limited period up to a maximum of 3 months. The image supplied is high resolution, so could be used for a church newsletter and possibly an advert in a local newspaper or similar. The image will remain the copyright of Daniel Patterson at all times, and may not be replicated, distributed, sold-on or reproduced in any other way than that stated above, unless permission has been expressly granted by ChurchPrints.org.
If you wish to use text from ChurchPrints.org products, please email [email protected], stating what and how you wish to use the text. Usually, we do not charge, but we would expect an acknowledgement to say ‘Used with permission from [email protected]’.
8. Customisation, image upload and proofing
For online customisation ChurchPrints.org will supply specified fonts and colours for each design which are compatible with the design and with all computer systems. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that all your copy is correct and that you are happy with your text layout. ChurchPrints.org cannot be held responsible for any errors submitted as no further checks / proof reading takes place prior to printing your product. You may make unlimited changes before making payment/submitting your order. If you require different fonts or colours, please contact us. Prices are shown for printing on one side of one design only, and printing on both sides of the item will encur additional charges. Please note that the ChurchPrints.org packages use the same copy on different items (e.g. different poster and leaflet sizes). ChurchPrints.org do not currently offer individual paper size customisation.
Image uploading: we recommend you use the largest size image you can find (300dpi if you’re scanning one in). You may need to crop/edit any image prior to uploaded it. Please also be reminded that you either need to own the image, or have a valid license to use it in a personalised product for commercial use and for printing. You should not upload or use any image without first obtaining the relevant, written permission! If you are uploading a logo you may want to check it doesn’t have a white background, or use the space provided on the back of the card. You may upload PNG files, EPS or SVG files to achieve the transparent background. If you want to make text part of your image, do this before upload. ChurchPrints.org reserve the right to refuse any image not in keeping with our charitable objectives.
Please note that our online tool may not be compatible with every device or operating system.
Proofs are previews of the artwork immediately before they go to print. On ChurchPrints.org they are automatically generated and can be viewed by clicking on the pink “Front” (& “Back“) buttons in the Cart and at the Checkout.
It is the responsibility of the customer to view and check that all details on the artwork are correct, including but not limited to: spelling & grammar of text; fonts used; orientation of text and images; scaling of text and images; appropriate resolutions for uploaded images; opacity on images, text and shapes; alignment.
At the checkout the customer is required to select a checkbox indicating that they have viewed the proof(s) and approve the artwork for print. By completing an order and making payment, the customer is agreeing to ‘sign-off’ all artwork for print and understands that after this point changes may no longer be made.
In the unlikely situation that a customer’s delivered prints do not closely match the aproved proof(s), they can contact ChurchPrints.org to request a non-chargeable re-print or request a full or partial refund. Where a refund is requested for the above reason, the customer may be asked to return at least 95% of their order.
Proofs for artwork created by ChurchPrints.org designers will be sent digitally for the customer’s approval prior to going to print.
ChurchPrints.org shall incur no liability for any errors not corrected by the customer in proofs so submitted or proofs generated by the Design Customiser.
Unless negotiated and agreed in writing, the copyright of general artwork, commissioned artwork and illustrations and anything else whatsoever prepared, developed or created by ChurchPrints.org shall vest in and belong to Daniel Patterson.
The customer shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary authorities and consents to reproduce pictures, artwork, photographs, copyright text and/or any other reproducible materials (“Materials”) prior to instructing ChurchPrints.org to reproduce the same. The customer shall indemnify and hold ChurchPrints.org and Daniel Patterson harmless against all claims, demands, actions, costs, expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or suffered or incurred by reason of any claim (including but not limited to the defence of such claim) that the reproduction of the Materials by ChurchPrints.org infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party or misuses the confidential information of a third party.
11. Company imprint
Unless otherwise specifically requested in writing any work may carry the ChurchPrints.org imprint which will be positioned on the back or another discrete position on the front of any artwork.
12. Delivery and Payment
Standard Delivery is offered FREE to Mainland UK* (defined as England, Wales and Scottish Lowlands). Delivery prices outside of Mainland UK are noted on each product page and added to your cart upon shipping address populated.
Turnaround is measured in Business Days or Working Days, defined as days on which the clearing banks in the City of London are open for normall business. All orders are normally dispatched within 5 – 7 working days (unless otherwise stated) although at busy times such as November and December this will normally take between 8 and 10 working days.
Non standard items (including banners and third party items) may take longer. We are only able to deliver to an address where there will be someone to receive and sign for your order. It is not possible to send to a PO box. Larger parcels are normally sent by courier and will need to be signed for. Smaller parcels (under 1kg) are normally sent by letter post (Royal Mail 2nd Class). All items will usually be despatched at the same time. We do however; reserve the right to split your order at certain times. There is no extra charge for these multiple deliveries. If your order is urgent, we may be able to offer an express service for an additional charge. Express orders cannot be made via the website and can only be made by calling us on 01267 600300 or emailing [email protected].
These services rely on the customer not delaying the progress of the order in any way (which delays include but are not limited to the customer not returning proofs by the time specified by ChurchPrints.org or failing to make payment by the time such payment is due) (a “Customer Delay”). In the event of a Customer Delay the customer shall not be awarded a Credit and the customer shall still be obliged to pay the Premium Charges but ChurchPrints.org shall not be bound to deliver within the original agreed or stated period.
Should work be suspended at the request of or delayed through any default of the customer for a period of 30 days or more ChurchPrints.org shall then be entitled to payment for work already carried out, materials specially ordered and any additional costs including storage.
Risk of loss or damage to work completed by ChurchPrints.org shall pass to the customer on delivery. Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk in the work to the customer, ownership of and title to the work shall not pass to the customer and shall be retained by ChurchPrints.org until ChurchPrints.org has received payment in full in respect of the work.
In the unlikely even that ChurchPrints.org deems it necessary to re-print work, the original agreed or stated period shall recommence from the time of ChurchPrints.org’s confirmation to the customer of its agreement to reprint the work.
13. Variation in quantity
Every endeavour will be made to deliver the correct quantity ordered. However some variation is inherent in the print process and it is understood and accepted as reasonable that minor variations are immaterial and that ChurchPrints.org shall have no liability in respect of such variations. For other variations ChurchPrints.org’s entire liability will be to award a Credit: Quantities No Credit awarded Pro Rata Credit awarded 1.5x Pro Rata Credit awarded up to 1,000 Shortage up to 10% 11% to 20% 21% to 25%* up to 5,000 Shortage up to 7% 8% to 15% 16% to 23%* up to 20,000 Shortage up to 5% 6% to 12% 13% to 21%* above 20,000 Shortage up to 4% 5% to 10% 11% to 20%*
* The Customer’s sole remedy in respect of shortages above these quantities (“Additional Shortages”) will be a re-print of the entire shortage quantity of the relevant work, to be undertaken by ChurchPrints.org within a reasonable period of time. The Customer shall not be entitled to a Credit in respect of an Additional Shortage.
14. Illegal matter
(a) ChurchPrints.org shall not be required to print any matter which in its opinion is or may be offensive or of an illegal or libellous nature or an infringement of the proprietary or other rights or any third party. (b) Without prejudice to paragraph 10 above, the customer shall indemnify and hold ChurchPrints.org harmless against all claims, demands, costs, expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or suffered or incurred by reason of the work it is required to produce pursuant to a customer order being or alleged to be defamatory.
15. Full colour printing
All reasonable efforts shall be made to obtain the best possible colour reproduction on customer’s work but variation is inherent in the print process and it is understood and accepted as reasonable that, ChurchPrints.org shall not be required to guarantee an exact match in colour or texture between the customer’s photograph, transparency, proof, electronic graphic file, previously printed matter (whether printed by ChurchPrints.org or other party) or any other materials supplied by the customer and the printed article the subject of the customer’s order.
16. Data Protection
By placing an order with ChurchPrints.org, the customer consents to its details being passed on to ChurchPrints.org for accounting and marketing purposes. The details will be kept by ChurchPrints.org even after the customer’s trading relationship with ChurchPrints.org has terminated. ChurchPrints.org may use the customer’s personal data to let customers know about goods and services similar to the goods or services provided to the customer previously and any others matters that ChurchPrints.org consider may be of interest to customers. Upon a customer ordering from ChurchPrints.org, the customer will be added to a ChurchPrints.org mailing list and ChurchPrints.org e-mail mailing list for purposes of marketing andproviding the customer with important information. The customer can opt-out by unsubscribing from any ChurchPrints.org mailing list at any time. ChurchPrints.org will not pass on the customer’s details to any third-party.
17. Force majeure
ChurchPrints.org shall be under no liability if it shall be unable to perform any obligation which is owed by it to the customer for any reason beyond his control including (without limiting the foregoing) ‘Act of God’, legislation, war, fire, flood, drought, failure of power supply, lock-out, strike or other action taken by employees in contemplation or furtherance of a dispute or owing to any inability to procure materials required for the performance of the contract. During the continuance of such a contingency the customer may by written notice to ChurchPrints.org elect to terminate the contract and pay for work done and materials used, but subject thereto shall otherwise accept delivery when available.
18. Cancellation/Returns Policy
Goods are not sold on a sale or return basis. We are unable to accept the return of custom designed items or date sensitive material. Please note that if you wish to cancel the order this must be done before the order is printed otherwise you will be liable for the full cost of the product. Orders received and paid for are sent to print immediately, the window of time to cancel an order is therefore very short.
Damages and shortages must be advised within 3 days of receipt.
Not withstanding the above, any returns must be advised, and approved by ChurchPrints.org, within 3 days of receipt of order with refunds made within 30 days. We reserve the right to make a handling charge of 20% (minimum £5), subject to the type of product returned if in a damaged condition. Please note that the Distance Selling Regulations apply where relevant. Refunds and exchanges for videos, DVD and CDs will only be made if the product is found to be faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.
19. Right to Cancel
This section applies only to goods that are not custom designed or time-sensitive.
To cancel your contract you must notify us in writing. If you receive the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the order you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible. Once we receive confirmation that you are cancelling your contract, any amount taken by us from your credit card will be returned to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order provided that the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be returned to you.
If you have ordered items in error, you will be responsible for the return of these to us at your own expense. You will also need to pay a handling charge of £5 or 10% whichever is the greater. Any replacement order will be a separate contract and cannot be refunded after despatch. We require that returned goods must be in the condition they were in when delivered to you and you will need to pay for any delivery/postage charges.

20. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods or capacity to provide the services you have ordered If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will return any amount taken from your account as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.

These terms and conditions and all other express terms of the contract with customers shall be governed and construed in accordance with English and Welsh law. English or Welsh Courts shall have jurisdiction in relation to any matters arising in connection with any contract between ChurchPrints.org and the customer into which these terms are incorporated.
